How the Ladder works

Win and take their spot.

01
Form a team

Pick your teammate — the Ladder is doubles, teams of two, one city-wide board for every division. Two current ladder players slot at the average of their previous rungs. A brand-new pairing enters where your average DUPR places you, minus 3 rungs — earn your way up.

02
Challenge up

Call out any team up to 3 rungs above you. Once the challenge is issued you have 14 days to play — any court, any night. Best of 5 games to 11: win 3, take the match.

03
Take the rung

Winner takes the higher rung. The loser — and every team between — slides down one. The ladder moves every night somebody plays.

04
Defend or drift

Answer at least one challenge per month or your team drifts down the ladder. Defend your rung — drift comes for the idle.
