Start a league

New partner and new opponents every round. Nobody partners the same person twice, and nobody sits.

Courts are ranked. Three games with each partner on your court, then the top two move up and the bottom two move down.

One game a round. The pair that wins moves up a court, the pair that loses moves down. Court 1 is the top.

Keep the same partner all night and play every other team once. Scored by team.

Four players, one court. Best two of three with each partner, so everyone plays everyone.

Two sides, two captains. Each round one captain sends out their pairings and the other picks who to face them. Every game is a point.

Three lives each. Lose a game, lose a life; lose three and you drop to the Undercard — but you keep playing. The field shrinks until four are left, and those four settle it.

The field splits into groups of eight that never mix, each with its own two courts. Three games with every partner, then two up and two down — inside your group only. The opening splits each group 1-4-5-8 against 2-3-6-7, so neither court starts as the top one.

You run it. Any number of players, any number of courts, and you place people yourself — then add each round when you have seen how the last one went. Anyone you leave off a round is resting.
